Product Description PopLite Hot Air Corn Popper
Amazon.com Review Plug in Presto's PopLite and the party begins. In less than 2-1/2 minutes you'll have up to 18 cups--two large bowlfuls--of fluffy popcorn with virtually no unpopped kernels. And because the machine uses hot air instead of oil, the resulting snack is healthier and lower in calories. That's not to say you can't add butter; in fact, the 1/2-cup measuring cup on top of the popper doubles as a butter melter. Simply put in the desired amount of margarine or butter (room temperature is best), and it melts from the heat produced during the popping process. The clear plastic cover and cup, which must stay on during popping so the popped corn doesn't fly all over the room, easily remove for hand cleaning with warm, soapy water. No other clean-up is required. While a few unpopped kernels spring out the chute as the machine begins to heats up, the chute does a good job of directing the popped corn into a bowl. The popper measures 14 by 9 by 6-1/2 inches, and is identical to Presto's Orville Redenbacher Hot Air Corn Popper except for color and logo. Presto covers the PopLite with a two-year warranty. --Ann Bieri

Good, economical popper September 2, 2010 M. Rock (Ohio) It pops your corn kernels. Actually, it does a pretty good job of it - there are not many unpopped kernels left. My biggest problem with it is the lack of an off switch - you have to unplug it to stop it. Also, make sure to not overfill the basin (there is a line marked inside, which makes it very easy) - the popper will overheat and shut off. The first time I did that I thought I broke it, but once it cooled down it work again.
Great Popper! August 31, 2010 Peg C I didn't realize how absolutely terrible our 10 year old air popper was until it died and we bought this Presto Poplite as the replacement. It had gotten such glowing reviews and after a week I have to agree, it's such a wonderful popper! Poplite pops twice the amount in a quarter if the time without any scorching and very little old maids. As the corn pops it flows out neatly into a bowl, it only gets a bit unruly at the very end. Our old popper managed to get popcorn everywhere except the bowl and left many scorched old maids. Overall a great product I would recommend!
I like it, but give it an on/off switch August 27, 2010 iSeeker (Dallas) It is a hot-air popper. There are not many manufacturers of this item any more. Our old one was probably 25 years old +. This one works fine. Two cons: (1) there is no on off switch. You turn it off by pulling the plug. This is not a deal killer but I would prefer not to have a spark everytime I unplug the machine while it is running (b/c that is the only way to unplug it). (2) There seem to be many, many more hulls than my old hot-air popper. Still, it was not expensive and it pops the popcorn.
Good air popper August 25, 2010 BonesighNYC (NYC) I am happy with this purchase. This popper makes a big bowl of healthy air popped popcorn in just a few minutes. And the price will not break the bank. Give it a try.
Best popcorn popper August 19, 2010 Satisfied 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Have bought 3 popcorn poppers in the last 6 months. Could not find one that I was satisfied with. Either the popcorn was all over the floor or else was loaded with oil from cooking it. The Presto Pop-lite is the best one by far makes nice fluffy popcorn with minimal seeds left over and the spout puts most of it in the bowl. Would definitely recommend.
